The Headlines
All Wright All Day In Buffalo
Conde Nast Traveler recently spotlighted Buffalo, NY by suggesting it might be the best city to experience Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture (although we would still likely vote Chicago and its suburbs for that particular honor). In preparation for next year's Wright sesquicentennial, Buffalo is offering "All Wright All Day" tour, which takes visitors to five Frank Lloyd Wright-designed sites in a single day; there are also tours specifically for photographers and events for kids. Follow the link to learn more and plan a visit to Buffalo for yourself to see if it indeed has the "Wright" Stuff. Read more.
Westcott Lecture Series 2016
The Springfield News-Sun reports on the return of the popular Westcott House Lecture Series for Fall 2016. The series features three experts sharing stories and research about the history of the built environment. Follow the link to learn more. Read more.
Collecting Seeds For Fallingwater's Future Trees
The Tribune-Review reports that an organization called Tree Pittsburgh recently spent time at Frank Lloyd wright's Fallingwater collecting seeds from native trees in and around the iconic house. The seeds collected will be grown into seedlings at Tree Pittsburgh's Heritage Nursery and used in forest restoration, including for portions around Fallingwater. Follow the link to learn more.
