Aaron Green's Anderson Residence On Tour
The Los Angeles Times reports that Midcentury Modern fans had a chance to tour the never-before-open-to-the-public Anderson Residence in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA designed by Taliesin-trained architect Aaron Green during the White Point Home Tour that was held on September 11, 2016. Celebrate The 100th Anniversary Of Wright's Burnham Block
Join Wright in Wisconsin on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Golden Rondelle Theater on the SC Johnson campus in Racine, Wisconsin for the celebration of the 100th Anniversary (1916-2016) of the construction of the Burnham Block in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mike Lilek, curator for the Burnham Block, will share information about this lesser-known phase of architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s career. Lilek, an authority on the American System-Built Homes, will talk about Mr. Wright’s challenge in building a community around beautiful, affordable small spaces which provide not only shelter, but also heighten their own awareness of the world and their connection to it.
