Wright's Lindholm Service Station Sold
The Duluth News Tribune reports that the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed R.W. Lindholm Service Station in Cloquet, MN has been sold outside the original commissioning family to some of the station's long-time employees. Irving J. Gill: New Architecture For A Great Country
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that James Guthrie—architect, president, and co-founder of the Irving J. Gill Foundation—has pulled together 14 organizations in a collaborative project titled “Irving J. Gill: New Architecture for a Great Country.” The Gill portion of the month-long "Archtober"celebration of architecture and design includes nine exhibitions plus a symposium, tours, talks and publications.
